Guess what? Santa brought me . . .

. . . a new kitchen sink, and disposal! It was MUCH needed. The porcelain on our old sink was scratched, dented, stained . . . It was blah. And our disposal was rusting through and every six weeks or so, we'd find a new hole where water was leaking out. So, we started looking for a new disposal, and then decided that while we (Brandon) were tearing everything out, we might as well get a new sink, too.

So, we looked online, found one we liked, and Santa delivered it a few days early. Brandon stayed up late undoing pipes and fittings and taking the old sink/disposal out, and then putting the new ones in. Not all of the pipes fit quite right, so the day after we got back from the museum, he finished it all up. The fittings, the sprayer, the drinking water. We LOVE it! It's so nice to have a big sink that we can put our big pots into and not have it overflowing onto the counter.

Working on taking out the old sink

The gross old sink

No matter how hard I scrubbed, or with what, I couldn't get it, or keep it, any cleaner than this. Blech!

Our beautiful new sink! Ha-le-lujah!

Complete with dirty dishes! ;)

". . . or maybe just being a distraction!"

"Now I'm helping . . ."

" . . . or maybe I'll just eat Dad's tools."

Thanks, Santa, for our wonderful new sink! And, thanks Brandon, for installing it for us. I love it! And you.

We had a sink like that in an apartment that we rented. I loved it! It looks great. And nice that your husband is handy around the house and can install it himself!

That is a fabulous Christmas present! We were thrilled moving into this new place because it HAD a garbage disposal unlike our Logan place. Congrats on that...and good job installing it all Brandon!

That's awesome! I've lived in a few places that didn't have a garbage disposal and now that we have it, I use it every day. It makes dirty dishes a lot less annoying.
