Baby bear stats

Okay, so we went to the dr. today for his 4-month check up. He's doing VERY well. Here are the numbers:

Weight: 18 lbs. - 96%
Height 26 inches - 85%
Head Circ: 16 1/2 inches - 45%

So, yes, I have a cute, tall little chunker on my hands. 18 lbs! But, despite my arms getting tired when I hold him 'cause he weighs so much, I love to hold him because he's got lots of rolls to love, and kiss, and hug. Yummy! :) And, yes, the dreaded shots. Two nurses came in and had me hold his arms down and it was over before I knew it had started. He cried, but one of the vaccines was an oral vaccine and that calmed him down pretty quickly. Then, he promptly fell asleep on the way home.

So, he's figuring out how to roll over (as you saw in the previous post. Oh, wait, you didn't? Go check it out!) He loves to squeal, and he loves to play with his toys. The one problem with his toys is that he hits at them and they twirl or swing away from him. When he can't grab them, he gets REALLY ticked off. It's kind of funny to watch him get so frustrated, and even funnier when I take the toys away and watch him sputter and sigh in relief and instantly relax.

He also loves tummy time. I've never had a kid be so chill with being on his stomach before, but he just hangs out. He'll look around, make some noise, try to grab a toy or two . . . It's great! He's also quickly growing out of his 6 - 9 month clothes, which is becoming a problem. Most of our 6/9 month and our 12 month clothes are warm weather clothes. Despite it feeling spring like outside today, it's still too chilly for shorts. Some days, he just gets to hang out in his jammies. :)

He also loves to smile - especially at his daddy - and he loves bath time. He's still sleeping through the night from about 9:00 in the evening to 8:15 each morning. (Knock on wood . . .) And, he loves being outside and listening to music, particularly something with a steady beat. I think it's calming to him - maybe like a heartbeat?

Boy, I know I've rambled on and on (right, Patti??), so I'll end this. Just wanted to update on my cute little chunk. I'll post some of his four month pictures that we took the other day, too. He's growing up (and out) so fast! It's fun to see him learn and grow, but some days, I really just want him to stay little.

Such a cute chunk - I LOVE this picture!

I'm getting kind of tired of pictures . . .

You should always ramble on and on! He is turning into such a chunky cutie! I can't believe he's in the 96%! Once he gets moving that will all be different of course. But I'm glad he's such a good kid. You deserve it!

Good luck with the clothes! And I thought Conni grew out of hers fast...

Hugs!

What a cutie! It is so fun to compare the stats of him and Bri! She just had her 6 month appointment. She is 17.2 lbs and 26 inches. She is bigger than either of my other 2 at that same age!
It will be fun to get them together!

What a cutie. Wow what a big little guy. Will just turned 2 and I took him in a couple of weeks ago and he weighs 21 lbs. and is 31 inches. They are total opposites I would love to see them side by side.
