Thanksgiving!

Okay, I'm bad, I know. I've just been in a posting slump. I've got things to post about, I just don't care too. It seems like too much work! (C'mon, Renee. Seriously, how hard is it to blog???) So, anyway, I'll blog about our Thanksgiving.

We drove out to my sisters house on Wednesday afternoon/evening, and got to play with her kids that night. Dallin was 2 months old then, and I had a blast holding him and feeding him, and just playing with him. He's smiling, now, and loves to talk to you. My niece, Rachel, and I would "fight" over who got to hold him. She loves her little brother so much, and is a great help!

Dallin - I'm nice & cute!

So, the next morning, I put my rolls out to rise, and they turned out wonderful! I don't think they were quite as good as my mother-in-law makes, but they were pretty darn good! I got rave reviews all afternoon about them! We all went up to my mom's house for Thanksgiving dinner. It was crazy, but a lot of fun, even with 29 people there - three of which were babies under 3 months old! We had a 2 month old, a one month old, and a 2 day old! It was fun to hold all these little babies.

Dinner was wonderful, as usual. My sister made our usual cranberry salad - my favorite Thanksgiving dish! I LOVE this cranberry salad. I'll be making it for Christmas, too. After cleaning up the dishes, we put Wall-E on. I HIGHLY recommend this movie! It is SO good! My boys have watched it MANY times since coming home after Thanksgiving. And, I get sucked into it, too! It's really very good.

Anyway, the next morning, all of the sisters-in-law got together and went shopping at Walmart. They had DVD's there for $2, so I loaded up! It was fun to go shopping with my sister, even if it was in crazy Walmart the day after Christmas! Rachel wasn't able to come with us for lack of room in the van, so I promised her that I would get some fingernail polish and we would paint our nails after we got back. She wanted hot pink for the fingernails, and lime green for our toenails.

I couldn't find lime green, but I did find a light olive green. It looked really gross in the bottle, but that's all they had, so we got it anyway. (Once we got it on, it was actually really pretty!) And, we got a hot pink. They had two colors there, and while Anne Marie and I were comparing colors, one of them slipped and fell on the hard floor! It shattered, and fingernail polish went all over my shoes and my pants! Ahh!! My sister and I scattered to look for some wet wipes, but the polish wouldn't come off. I did get most of it off my pants, but it won't come off my nice leather shoes. I've tried Goo Be Gone, and fingernail polish remover, and alcohol. Nothing is budging this. *sigh* But, we still had fun, and Rachel's nails looked lovely!

I love going out to my sister's house to visit. Even though we're ten years apart in age, I feel so close to her. Next to Brandon, she's my best friend, and I absolutely love her kids. They're already planning a summer getaway to spend with my kids! :)
